The Syracuse Empty Bowls event will take place on Friday, September 30th from 11 am - 2 pm. It is our goal to contribute 500 out of the 1500 bowls for this event. Clayscapes Pottery will be hosting throwing events with Liz Lurie here on Wednesday, July 13th and Thursday, July 14th from 12 – 5 pm. The following week we will be hosting Peter Beasecker on Wednesday, July 20th and Thursday July 21st from 12 – 5 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in a very worthwhile community effort to feed the hungry and to experience 2 talented clay professionals at work. The only thing you need to bring are your clay tools and your desire to help others. Clayscapes Pottery will supply the clay and do the firing as well as all of the glazing. If you are unable to attend one of these sessions and would still like to get involved, please let us know. There are many things that need to be done leading up to the event as well as the day of the event. We can use any and all the volunteers that are interested in helping to feed the hungry right here in our own community.

New Wheels in the Studio
We just put 3 brand new Pacifica GT400 wheels in the studio. We now have 20 wheels in the studio - plenty of room for folks to come in and use open studio time for throwing. We also have plenty of work table space for you handbuilders. It is very exciting to see the studio grow and the people who use it as well.
